When I press the pedal about 1" or 2" from the floor I can change the gears (with pto running). A 5000 psi liquid filled guage is around $20 at Northern Tool and probably Harbor Fright too. Screw it onto one of your remote/auxilliary hoses and open the valve for a second or two. Post back with what it reads. Your pump should make around 2500 psi. When I press the pedal about 1" or 2" from the floor I can change the gears (with pto running).
