The ambience was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant was a short walk off the beaten path from the large hotels and noisy restaurants to a residential historic district. The McNinch House was originally home to Frank Ramsay McNinch and his wife, Hulda Groome McNinch. Built nearly 100 years ago in what was then rural, open farmland on (unpaved) Sharon Lane just outside Charlotte, N. Carolina, McNinch House is a stately Colonial Revival-style home that is said to have been inspired in part by Mt. Vernon.
