I don't know when happened, but smb and nmb fails to start. From what I saw samba fails to create the directory /var/run/samba/ncalrpc. If I create manually the folder /var/run/samba than I can start the smb and nmb services (manually again).

I couldn't track down exactly what was causing the issue but I was able to get samba to start again. Steps to install Samba On Arch Linux 2017.
